The Anglicans have the Anglo-Catholic,liberal and evangelical wings and the Methodists ranging from the very hot evangelicals to the liberals who don't really know what to believe.Andrew Kennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02714318748847734699noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-512615033583182026.post-79817249593849368002010-09-27T23:19:18.663-07:002010-09-27T23:19:18.663-07:00I hope that Methodism has fared better in the Isle...I hope that Methodism has fared better in the Isles of the Triple Crowns, but here in America it is always one step ahead of or behind the Episcopal Church, which is one step ahead of or behind blatant, raving apostasy. What a shame, because of the great saints that lay down their lives around the great Cornerstone, our Saviour Jesus Christ, in the beginning of these churches.

As an Orthodox Christian, I am encouraged by knowing that these great saints, from Stephen the first martyr, all the holy apostles and all the witnesses of Christ's resurrection, down to men like Bonhoeffer, Taylor (of the China Inland Mission), Spurgeon, and Billy Bray, are not dead and merely part of church history, but are alive in Christ and aware of what we do even now, praying for us to match them in feats of faithfulness and manly valor. This is why even the churches they built with their own hands will remain sacred, not just for memory's sake, but to acknowledge that though we cannot see them on earth for a short while, they are with us, and we will see them again, and rejoice in the Lord's presence with them for ever, being changed into reflections of His divine Nature, seeing Him as He really is. Glory to God!Ρωμανός ~ Romanóshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00212143017939554092noreply@blogger.com
